  North Falls, Silver Falls State Park I urge then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  I Timothy 2:1 Marion County has a three-member Board of Commissioners, the current commissioners are Kevin Cameron, Danielle Bethell , and Colm Willis . The County Sheriff is Joe Kast . Salem is the county seat, and, of course, is also the Oregon state capital. The above verse is particularly appropriate with Marion County being the site of the state capital. Pray not only for the county commissioners but the state legislators and officials as well. Yamhill County, Oregon They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat of their fruit…And my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands . Isaiah 65: 21, 22 The West Central Region of Oregon is made of Yamhill, Marion, Polk, Linn, and Benton Counties and includes some of the oldest settlements as well as some of the richest agricultural land in the state.  Pray for the elected officials of Yamhill County including  Commissioners Lindsay Berschauer, Chair; Kit Johnson; Mary Starrett. The  County Sheriff is Tim Svenson. Commissioner Kit Johnson is the newest member of the commission, beginning his term in 2023. Kit is a farmer and fifth-generation Oregonian, making him an advocate for the agricultural resources of Yamhill County. His own business has included poultry, berries, and apple rootstocks, and has been working in the agricultural sector since 1994. He’s a huge supporter of ag training programs such as FFA. The current Commissioners are Kaety Jacobson, Chair, who began her second term in 2023. Claire Hall has been a commissioner numerous times since 2004, and Casey Miller, starting his first term in 2023. Sheriff Curtis Landers is the Lincoln County Sheriff. His career began in 1987 and he has worked up from Records/Property Clerk through Corrections Officer, Patrol Deputy, Patrol Sergeant, and Administrative Lieutenant. In 2016 he was appointed Sheriff and is currently serving his second four-year term. The headquarters of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians is in Siletz in Lincoln County.
